We love to challenge ourselves to keep coming up names that are novel, make people look twice, and make our special dogs POP out of the sea of adoptables on Petfinder. We find that unusual names mean happy homes sooner.
Case in point- Merv the Perv- we could barely keep up with the slew of applications the minute that ridiculous name went up.

Mr. Burns was a malnourished little guy with rotten teeth and a heart condition. We HAD to name him Mr. Burns after Homer's Boss. He found a great home, even with his heart condition. Unfortunately his heart condition did not respond as well as we wokuld have liked. His guardians had a few good years with him though. In the end his people were always singing opera, after determining he would only eat when being sung to.. They are grateful to WTR for the incredible experience of loving Mr. Burns, and they recently adopted their second Waggytail. Would he have made his way to these fabulous folks without the intial Simpsons reference? How can we know for sure?
