This summer our fabulous volunteer Amy Evers knew that we had taken in alot of dogs and needed to get some placed so we could save more from the shelter! In June we had taken in 23 animals (15 from Animal Care and Control and 8 from the public) She had an idea for a Beach Party to place some of our adoptable dogs
I documented the Beach party on the new WTR fan blog
That day resulted in the adoptions of Checkers, Ghandi, and Sammy.
The beach party was on July 28, 2007.
That July we adopted 22 dogs out. This was our best July ever for adoptions (e.g in July of '06 we had 9 adoptions, in July of '05 we had 4 adoptions) and the highest month for successful adoptions in 2007.
